Hot Feet Hot Feet Hot Feet Hot Hot Hot!!!!

This evening my feet feel like they are on fire, i have entered Blisterville population Me!!!!! Completed 7miles this morning felt good up until the last mile where my feet started to ache and i just knew that i had a blister, when i got my 1000 mile socks off I was greeted by two large suckers on both feet :(  Feeling quite sorry for myself and annoyed that this is going to hold me back for a couple of days!  I did think that the socks would be the answer obviously not :(

Anyone got any sensible advice for blisters and prevention of them please please help!!!!!!

  1. You need a gait analysis to make sure that you are wearing the correct trainers.

Up and Running, Bucks Road and Intersport do them for free or if you want a proper job done, Robin Perry at the Foot Health Clinic where Douglas Steam Sawmill's DIY shop was opposite Tesco but you have to pay for him.

Some people swear by them but others hate 1000 mile socks. I tend to use Hilly Monoskin.

You are more likely just to have sore shins than 'shinsplints' because you are using muscles which haven't strengthened as you've never quite used them like this before. Toe raises, walking on your heels, doing 'the sweep' i.e walking lifting your toes, keeping your front leg straight and sweeping both hands along the ground to touch your toes, also doing quad stretches and really pulling your toes into your bum.

Hope all this helps. Good luck.
