One Last Push!!!!!!!!

Nope not the training side of it, thats all in the bank hopefully! This is my last post pestering and asking for donations for my chosen charity the MSPCA.

The Manx Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (Manx SPCA) is a Manx Registered Charity founded in 1897. They care for all creatures in need of our help from Staffies to seagulls, rabbits to Rottweilers, Shearwaters to spaniels. They do not receive any funding from the Isle of Man Government but are grateful for the support of the Manx public who contribute regularly to the running costs  of over £1400 a day. That’s how much it costs in real terms but the care and love that the staff give to the animals in their care is beyond price.

What they Do

The Manx SPCA takes in, on average, 1600 creatures each year and that number is, sadly, rising.
Their staff and our volunteers care for these lost, abandoned or injured creatures, restore them to health, bring back their confidence and rehabilitate them. It’s a worthwhile and often upsetting task as some of these creatures have been badly treated or seriously injured, but seeing a frightened and cowering dog change into the loving and playful creature it was born to be is a delight.
They have kennels, a cattery, a small animal unit, an aviary as well as a seal pen so there’s plenty to see when you come and visit them, the address is below.
When you’ve admired the animals you can relax with a cup of tea and a delicious home baked cake in the Tearooms which are open every day from 10am until 4pm.
